The free Saturday Kids Drama Club is run each year by Renegade Theatre in partnership with Venture Community Association (funded by Community Fund, Westway Trust and Green Shoots.) Classes take place for 3 months in summer and for 3 months in winter, over which time the kids will work towards a play, to then be performed at Venture for family and friends.
Classes are led by Natasha Langridge, the Artistic Director of Renegade Theatre, using a mix of drama and physical theatre games with techniques to promote fun, confidence and creativity.
This documentary is about the past, present and future of the Venture Centre as told by the children from the Kids Drama Club. The children ask their parents and grandparents what play and facilities were like and reflect on their own feelings about how the Venture Centre is planned to be demolished and rebuilt as part of the regeneration of Wornington Green Estate.
If you would like to take part in the Kids Drama Club please register at the Venture Centre where the classes are held.
Venue: Venture Centre, 103A Wornington Road, London, W10 5YB.
